Jiading Bamboo Carving began with Qianlong and Wanli Time (1567-1619 A.D.) of the Qing Dynasty.At that time two genres of bamboo carving had formed: Jinling Genre and Jiading Genre, the latter of which was more flourish-ing. The initiator of Jiading Genre was Zhu Songling, a man good at poem, painting and calligraphy. He was brave in innovation, inferior to nobody.
