Malu grape’s history can be traced back to 1981, more than 20 years.
　　Malu town set up Shanghai Mulu Grape Research Institute, which degenerated into Shanghai Grape Research Institute. In 2002, the brand of “Malu” passed the authentication to be the first farm product of “safety, healthy and highgrade”. Shanghai Malu Grape Development ltd. was set up in 2003 in accordance with rapid industrial development.
　　Through unswerving exploration over two decades, up to now the total area of grape planting in Malu has covered more than 4000 mu, with over 70 breeds in all. The high quality of Malu grape enjoys a great reputation in Shanghai and the rest of China.
　　Malu town was regarded as “Land flowing with grape” by agriculture department of China in 1999. In Malu, over 1000 families, 2000 professionals are engaged in planting grapes. The industry in a large scale compensates for farmers’ living expenditure.
